Oscars 2010
I woke up at 3:54am this morning and contemplated getting up to watch The Oscars. And again at 6am. But I didn't.
I really thought the Academy were going to reward Quentin this year. Inglourious Basterds is a superb piece of film-making and the most 'grown-up' of Tarantino's films to date. What exactly does he need to do to win an Oscar? To be fair, The Hurt Locker is an amazing debut but I really thought Quentin would scoop the Best Picture. Never mind...what do I know!
The winners seem to be pretty much spot on though and well deserved. It would have been a thrill to have seen the Basterds up there, mind.
